Pistols

10m pistol

The perfect discipline for beginners, the 10-metre pistol is also an Olympic event since 1988 for seniors and women. Firearm: air or CO2 pistol. The shots are fired from the standing position, for seniors it’s 60 shots in 105 minutes and for the ladies it’s 40 shots in 75 minutes.

25m pistol

Olympic speed pistol, and indeed an Olympic discipline for seniors. The shots are made from the standing position on 5 turning targets 25 metres away with a .22 short pistol (barrel length no more than 6”). This program consists of two stages of 30 shots each. Each stage consists of two series of five shots in eight, six and four seconds.

• 2 strings of 5 rounds, each in 8 seconds,
• 2 strings of 5 rounds, each in 6 seconds,
• 2 strings of 5 rounds, each in 4 seconds,

Sport pistol (or .22 combined)

An Olympic discipline for women in .22 calibre, international for juniors in .22 calibre and international for seniors in big bore pistol. The target is 25 metres away. Firearm: revolver or .22 pistol (for the .22 combined), .32 or .38 (for the sport pistol). The program is 30 precision shots in 6 strings of 5 rounds each in 6 minutes: 3 seconds for each shot followed by a 7 second delay. Then there are 30 precision shots: 6 strings of 5 rounds, 3 seconds for each shot followed by a 7 second delay.

Standard pistol

International discipline, the shots are fired standing at a target 25 metres away. Firearm: .22 pistol. The program is 60 rounds divided in 3x20 as follows:

• 1st serie : 4 strings of 5 rounds, each in 150 seconds
• 2nd serie : 4 strings of 5 rounds, each in 20 seconds
• 3rd serie : 4 strings of 5 rounds, each in 10 seconds

International discipline, the shots are fired

50m pistol (Free pistol)

An Olympic discipline for seniors. Firearm: .22 pistol with no limit on barrel length. The program is 60 rounds in 2 hours at a target 50 metres away.
